Trevilia Hodge is a certified grief educator, award-winning storyteller, and the visionary founder of Replace Loss with Love. Through her own profound losses—including the death of her parents, grandparents, husband, dear friends, the miscarriage of her child, the heartbreak of domestic violence, and most recently the passing of her brother—Trevilia has transformed her pain into purpose.
A graduate of Rutgers University and former caregiver to her mother while attending school, Trevilia knows firsthand the toll grief can take on the body, mind, and spirit. But she also knows what healing looks like when love leads the way.
Crowned Miss Plus America Elite 2025 and Ultimate Woman Plus America 2025, Trevilia uses her platform to share a different kind of beauty: the kind rooted in resilience. As a certified grief educator trained by David Kessler, her mission is simple yet profound—to help others navigate grief with grace, humor, courage, and compassion.
Her upcoming TEDx talk, Giving Grief Life: How to Replace Loss with Love, and the relaunch of her podcast in Fall 2025, reflect her continued commitment to creating spaces where people can talk about loss without shame—and rediscover joy.
Whether through poetry, film, children’s literature, or powerful workshops, Trevilia helps others find their voice in grief and gently guides them back to life. Full bio available upon request.
At Replace Loss with Love, my mission is to transform the way we experience and express grief. I believe grief deserves room to breathe—space to be witnessed, honored, and even reframed. Grief is not a problem to solve. It is a response to love—proof that something, or someone, mattered deeply.
A children's book for every family learning to heal from the loss of a child. Because even in goodbye, love finds a way to stay.
